Today we went to Maple Elementary to find out who David's teacher is and check out his new classroom. David is ready for school to start and is truly excited. I on the other hand, am not ready for this. Where did my little baby boy go? Is he truly old enough for this?? David felt my apprehensions I think or maybe I voiced them thinking he wouldn't understand. In all of his 5 year old wisdom he told me he could not stay little forever and he had to grow up. Then he reminded me that there was a time not too long ago when I was a little girl and I grew up and went to school too. Truly my boy made me think back to how exciting my first day of Kindergarten was. Wasn't that just yesterday too??
