Amy and I took off Saturday morning and headed to Cincinnati for a day at Ikea. We had a great time shopping! Amy had never been before, but found some neat stuff anyway. I had done my research and knew my plan of attack. Here is my main reason for going: a new sitting area planned for my bedroom.
I found the chair in the clearance section for $40 off. Bonus! The lamp I already had from my last trip to IKEA, but had never found a shade to fit. So it now has a shade. And check out that table! I found that at a yard sale on Friday for $25.
It is an antique complete with claw feet!
In addition to the lamp shade and chair, I also got a new towel bar, toilet paper holder and waste paper basket for the master bathroom project in the works. I got some storage units for the kids, some finger puppets, and a hanging 4x6 picture holder that looks like a film strip. I also got Madelyn a new hooded towel and I picked up some wooden cutting blocks for me. Amy also got some cute stuff! I especially liked her shelves for the kids rooms! Let's see, all in all we had a great day! Who can beat a fun shopping day with a great friend and a good deal to boot?! Thanks Amy for going with me!
