Weekend off!

For the first time in a long time, Daniel did not have to work this weekend. So we decided to take advantage of our freedom and head out on the town. We went to White River Gardens. We really enjoyed the butterfly house.

Our favorite butterfly was the blue one. It was so big and had the most vibrant colored wings.

David thought the spitting frog fountain was cool. He wanted to know if he could spit the water too. Boys!

And, you don't think the gardens with the Lusk boys is quiet and peaceful do you? Of course not! They had to chase each other around the circle.

We had a great time at the Gardens. We then headed to downtown Indy to eat lunch. We had a great view of the city from the top of the parking garage.

This evening after a nice dinner of lasagna, garlic bread, and pound cake for dessert, we headed out to Lusk field for some baseball. David is getting pretty good at hitting the ball.

And he loves to run the bases. Daddy does a great job with his field. It is complete with a spray painted infield and some bases we bought. It's an awesome set-up.

All in all we had a great day. I sure missed Madelyn being with us on our outing, but I know she's having a good time with Momo and Papa. David sure did enjoy all the attention though. He may not be ready for her to come back!
