Grit

I had the time and energy to finally, again, sit down and write.  Today I join Gypsy Mama in 5 minute Friday.

Go

Determination has never really been one of those qualities that I lack.  In fact, if I set my mind to something, there's usually not too much that will stop me or get in my way.  That can be a blessing and a curse.  I have run so far ahead of God at times, that I have found myself way out of the shadow of His cross.  Not that He moved or was not with me, but that my determination carried more of my own light than His.
As of late, there have been many circumstances present in my life that are beyond my control.  Nothing that I have run ahead of or even run from.  But I still have to pick up my feet and continue to walk this path that He has chosen.  I can tell you that determination can get lost when the circumstances are not of your choosing.  But God is good, He is constant and He is always in control.  And even though I am sometimes too weary to take another step, He has asked me to grit my teeth and continue on, knowing that all He is doing in my life is His own good and perfect will.  And He will be with me every step of the way.

Oh, how I can relate to this phrase 'my determination carried more of my own light than His'. What a blessing grace is! To know we can return back to His light continually! Thank you for your words.

I have been in those spots too... And He IS going to walk with you every step. And each day He will give you JUST enough (some days you might just make it o the end and find there really isn't any left over--but that's the way manna is I guess) strength and grace to make it through the day.

(((((hugs))))) to you as you continue gritting those teeth and digging in hard.

I've had times like this, too. And yes, God does walk with us every step of the way. At the toughest times, that's often the main thing that's kept me going.
